Playing With Your Imagination: Small World Of Dinosaurs

Imaginative play has wonderful benefits for the development of children.
Experts have found that pretending can help children develop their creativity
and do better in school. It also helps improve problem-solving
abilities.
This dinosaur-themed activity is about using your imagination to create a
universe of dinosaurs. Anything that you have around your home can be utilized.
Start off by talking to your child about what a dino's world might look like,
and what they require to feel comfortable in their world. Make sure to ask lots
of questions that can aid them in finding the answer. For instance, dinosaurs
require water to survive. So , ask the dinosaurs what they drink? Make them
aware that dinosaur hatching eggs reside in the outdoors, which is why they know
learning dinosaur games would consume
water that is sourced from rivers and lakes.
Once they've identified the components needed by dinosaurs, they can take a
tour of their home or outside for other items you could use to build the world.
It is possible to create a miniature dinosaur world using a few items like we
did in the game. Or you can use massive objects like pillows and couch cushions
to create a massive one. Play putty was created to help us create our dinosaur
world, scroll through to see the recipe!
Once you've made the universe and all your items, it's time to let your kids
have fun in the dinosaur world. Your child might like pretending to be the
dinosaur if you've got a large world. You can play with the world with small
dinosaur games.
Here are some things we've used during our world of dinosaurs:
Small dinosaurs
tiny trees
Play putty that is made from scratch in the colours green, brown, and blue.
Blue glass beads for water
Stones
small branches
Pine cones
play tray or cookie sheet
Vegetable serving tray/organizing tray
Things that are great to make a texture
To create a grass-like effect create a grass effect, you can run a fork along the play putty.
Foil - roll some foil to form a ball and push it through the play putty to create a bumpy, rocky effect.
Spoon - insert a spoon through blue play putty to create an wavy effect to water.
Here's how to make your own play-putty!
SUPER SIMPLE PUTTY
Ingredients:
3 cups of water
3 cups of flour divided into 3 cups,
3/4 cups of salt
8 tablespoons cream of tartar
3 tablespoon of vegetable oil
Food colouring, what colour you'd like to create your own putty
Spatula
Whisk
Directions:
1. Mix the dry ingredients in the large pot. Mix well. Then , add the wet
ingredients. With the large spatula or spoon to mix all the ingredients until it
is clump-free.
2. Mixture over medium temperature and stir often. Continue to stir the mix
until it begins to become clumpy. Switch back to spatula and continue mixing.
Once a large clump forms, take it off the heat and allow to cool.
3. Once it has cooled to a pleasant temperature, you can begin to work the putty by hand. When the consistency is uniform start separating the putty into equal sections if you are making different colours. In this batch, we have been able to create quite a few different colours. Mix food colouring into the ball by placing your thumb inside the middle. Continue to knead until the color is evenly distributed. Once you've reached the desired colour intensity then the fun can begin!
